My final gripe is how this whole place seem to favor one certain build greatly - stealth. As is it plain annoys me to travel around trying to find some piece of machinery I have no clue which it is and where it is and do I need keycard to get to it and where is that keycard etc. My problem with Deep Caverns is how many separate place you have some which are open at first and some you get in later, now this would be fine if Deep Caverns would not require such huge amount of backtracking, would not be filled with aforementioned annoying enemies, Eye of Tchort debuff etc. Now I can undestand and appreciate such thing if it's done well. One big gripe I have is the whole pacing with the whole area, you are given tasks with just the goals and that's it, everything else is up to you. Not knowing what you might be missing just makes one to abuse wiki or seek playthrough guide. Or if not that give player some list to show which things you have. Gate parts: I get it that it is suppsoed to huge search for those but I'd rather spend time digging some huge warehouse where all the parts are rather than run around all over the place. Cuttlesnails which are nothing but pure annoyance to any gun user without much AP rounds or explosives.Įye of the Tchort debuff, it's already huge annoyance to deal with the enemies constantly but why does it have to gimp your combat skills? What is the reason? I get it you should just quickly go between places so it won't activate but considering you have to search some areas thoroughly to get some mutagens or that Bone Handle Knife it just makes you waste time by going in and out of areas which adds nothing. Equivalent of giving someone godmode in Source multiplayer games and melee that stuns you. Faceless Gaunts that you have no fool proof way to tell where they are unless you want to camp corner with caltrop or traps and read the combat log or waste grenades or something just to find the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and if not good luck ever fighting back due to them shanking you once and flying away.
